Randy McCarthy opened services reading from Ecclesiastes chapter 7 and spoke about New Year resolutions. He then read from Philippians chapter 2 using “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” (Phil 2:5) as a subject. He also went through the gospels and read the first Words of Christ in each book [Luke 2:49, Matt 3:15, John 1:38-39, Mark 1:14-15]
Allen Daniels read from Luke chapter 2 and Matthew chapter 2 and gave a summary about The Birth of Christ giving attention to Christ’s genealogy, the manger, Mary’s purification, the wise men, Herod, Jesus as a child in the temple, and ending with the Jesus’ baptism.
Randy McCarthy opened services speaking about Roman history in regards to the transition from Julius Caesar to Augustus Caesar. He then continued his subject of The Advent of Jesus Christ speaking this week from Luke chapter 2.
Allen Daniels began by reading from Isaiah chapter 9 and compared it to Matthew chapter 4 focusing on Darkness, and the Prophecy of Jesus Christ.
