Allen Daniels read and commented on the 90th Psalm.

Mark Hasenmyer continued his series on the elements of the New Testament church and a tour through the book of Acts.  This week he began in Chapter 9 and said it marks a transition into worship that includes the Gentiles.  He listed many characteristics that the Apostle Paul required to navigate both the Jew and Gentile worlds  – but the greatest of these was Grace.  In closing, he spoke of the death of Stephen and his final vision (Acts 7).

Laying On Of Hands (Acts 6+7)

Mark Hasenmyer began by giving an overview of Acts chapters 6-8.  From chapter 6, he discussed the calling of the first 7 deacons, which included Stephen who is later called to preach.  He then spoke about ordination and the significance of “Laying on of Hands”

Refuge in Jesus Christ

Randy McCarthy spoke about the refuge we have in Jesus Christ.  He began by reading 3 related accounts of the return of Jesus Christ. He emphasized that his second coming is a time to be rejoiced and not feared and that we need to Watch and Pray.  He then read from Joshua about Rahab and the fall of Jericho.
