Mark Hasenmyer read from 2-Timothy chapter 3 and continued speaking about the elements of the New Testament Church. This week he emphasized that modern additions (e.g. musical instruments, preacher seminaries) and church traditions are not supported in the scriptures.

John Chapter 14
Mark Hasenmyer spoke about Jesus’ relationship with the Apostles. In John chapter 14, Jesus speaks to the Apostles and prepares them for the events of his final days. In closing, he spoke about The Comforter.
Election (Romans chapters 9 – 11)
Mark Hasenmyer continued reading from Romans chapters 9 with a focus on Election. He emphasized that both the Gentiles and a remnant of the nation of Israel are part of the Kingdom of God. Continuing into chapters 10 & 11; Israel (as a nation) were not looking for the redemption of Christ because they believed their eternal salvation came from the Old Testament laws, rituals, and sacrifices.
