Randy McCarthy introduced serviced reading from Colossians chapter 3 (Col 3:12-17).


Allen Daniels opened services reading from 1-John chapter 1 (1-John 1:1-5) commenting on the relationship Jesus had with the Apostles with emphasis on Fellowship.

 

 


Randy McCarthy commented on Fellowship with Christ.  He then read from Exodus chapter 34 (Exo 34:1-8 ) with a focus on God proclaiming his name to Moses.

Allen Daniels opened services reading from 1-John Chapter 3 and used as his theme:

Faithful Sayings in the Scriptures

Randy McCarthy opened services reading from 1st Timothy (1Tim 1:12-17).   His topic text is from  1Tim 4:9 “This is a Faithful Saying and worthy of all acceptation. Other examples were given from 2Tim 2:11, Rev 19:11, Rev 22:6.

 

 


Allen Daniels continues on the topic of Faithful Sayings referring back to 1Tim 1:15.  He emphasizes that Faithful, Trustworthy, and True are used interchangeably in the scriptures.

Altar of Incense | Prophecy of the Birth of Christ

Randy McCarthy introduced services reading prophecy from Malachi chapter 3.  He then opened services reading from Luke Chapter 1 about Zacharias and the Altar of Incense.   This is background information about the parents of John the Baptist in that Zacharias was a priest and his responsibility was to burn incense upon entering the temple.  He then spends some time explaining elements of the outer room of the temple that was visited by priests on a daily basis.  Returning to Luke, he tells of the angel foretelling of John’s birth from Elisabeth who was barren.

 


Allen Daniels gives an overview of Old Testament prophecy that was fulfilled in the birth of Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 3 – An OT Comparison

Allen Daniels opens services describing how the book of Hebrews has a general theme of “Better” (and is used in this book 13 times).    He begins reading in chapter 3 which has several references to Moses and then he gives background information from the books of Exodus and Numbers.  His focus was that Moses acted as a buffer between God’s wrath and the judgement of the disobedient Israelites.
