Predestination and Election

Randy McCarthy read our third article of faith and spoke about Predestination and Election.

Articles of Faith #3:   We believe in the doctrine of predestination and of the election of a definite number of the human family to grace and glory before the world began, and that they will in time be manifested heirs of God, and joint heirs of, or with, the Lord Jesus Christ by a birth of the Spirit.

Referenced Scriptures: [Ephesians 1:1-6, 2Timothy 1:9, Titus 1:1-2, Romans 8:28-29,16-17, Isaiah 42:1, Genesis 12:1-3, (and other verses referencing that Abraham shall be the father of many nations), John chapter 3 (summary of conversation with Nicodemus, John 6:35-45]

Note:  The first minute was clipped where Elder Randy explains that our Articles of Faith are a declaration of what we (the body of the church) believe.

Who am I? How did I get here? Where am I going?

Allen Daniels opened services reading from Ephesians 1:1-10 and spoke on the Elect’s position “In Christ” answering these three questions: “Who am I?  How did I get here?  Where am I going?”

Brother Allen, prior to reading from Ephesians, read the following quote:

Søren (Kick-key-guard) Kierkegaard (1813-1855)

(a 17th Century Danish philosopher, theologian, and poet)

“Where am I? Who am I?
How did I come to be here?
What is this thing called the world?
How did I come into the world?
Why was I not consulted?
And If I am compelled to take part in it,

Where is the director?

I want to see him.”
